Meet Maddy and Justine who founded Weartwo in 2022. Originally two personal stylists they listened to what women wanted to wear and set out to make it better. Their inspiration started with a shared love of jumpsuits, coupled with the frustrations many women had with finding one to fit. Determined to solve this, they deconstructed the jumpsuit into two pieces and the jump-set was born.

AJ’s blazers have embroidered quotes inside them – what is your fave inspiring quote?
“Just keep swimming.” – from Finding Nemo. A simple but powerful reminder to keep going, no matter what challenges come your way.

The best part of having your own business?
The constant learning and personal growth. Being pushed out of your comfort zone isn’t always the best part – but it’s definitely one of the most rewarding! You learn to trust yourself and evolve in ways you never expected.

Your favourite piece from your collection?
The Hero jump-set – it’s the ultimate in comfort and versatility. Though the Daphne sheer-sleeve top runs a close second; both pieces really represent what Weartwo is all about – effortless style for real women.

Do you have a top style or shopping rule?
Buy only what you truly love and would still want to wear a year from now. As stylists, we always recommend investing in timeless pieces – like a beautifully tailored coat or suit. Choose classic cuts and quality fabrics that will stand the test of time and not a quick-fix throwaway purchase.

Do you have any exciting new plans or products for Weartwo this summer?
Yes – we’ve just launched the Circe blazer, crafted from our signature cotton/modal blend. It’s breathable, flattering, and perfect for layering, especially during warmer weather and for travel. We’re also full of ideas for next year, with plans to introduce more mid-life-friendly styles that offer both comfort and understated elegance.

Another inspiring woman in business?
Trinny Woodall. As two women in mid-life ourselves, we find her journey incredibly motivating. She’s shown that success doesn’t have an age limit – with grit, clarity, and hard work, you can build something impactful and meaningful, no matter when you start.

The best part of running your own business?
Meeting like-minded women. Building connections with others who share our values, challenges, and sense of purpose is endlessly inspiring – it reminds us why we started and who we’re doing it for.

How do you unwind away from business?
With difficulty! It’s hard to switch off when it’s your own venture. But Justine loves swimming, and Maddy unwinds at live gigs – both great ways to reset and get inspired.

Your top piece of advice for anyone starting their own business.
Don’t wait for the perfect time – it doesn’t exist. Start small, do your research, and be prepared to adapt as you go. The key is to begin.
